Dear Gen,
I read about your struggles in Doug Robinson's column in the Deseret News today. I wish you luck and hope you are able to get the surgery you need. Please tell Doug to continue to update us via his columns. I'll pray for you!
Dear Gentrie,
I am sad to hear that you aren't feeling well. This illness sounds like a bugger. I have 4 children of my own...and if I needed the help I would hope that people would want to help me too. I am so sorry you are in pain, and vomit. I think vomiting has to be the worst...I hate that. I live far away but read your story on The Deseret News this morning. I hope you get people from all over who are touched enough to help you. Even if it's a little...or a LOT. One word of advise. Get a P.O. Box at the Post Office and post that to your website so people can just drop a check in the mail. It would help rather than people having to email and wait for a response or use paypal. If you post a PO Box right on the front of your webite I think it would help aLOT. Just a suggestion. A PO Box is pretty cheap like $35. a year or something. Anyway, I hope and pray you will get a smile or feel a tad better knowing that people out here really do care. My daughter is serving her Mission in Raleigh North Carolina right now. I will write to her and have her and her companion pray for you too. Don't listen to any bad posts...you keep your thoughts positive. Surround yourself with people's prayers, and positivity...it will help. Hugs to you and to your Grandma..and the rest of your family as well. They sound just wonderful. Hugs from your new friend, ~Sandi
I read your story and wanted to give you encouragement. I have suffered with gastroparesis for 10 years and have the pacemaker - I can say that I have gotten better although the pacemaker didn't help. I got it when I was about 18 and my life turned upside down as yours has. I went from a healthy college student to being constantly sick and chronically nauseated I was tube fed for a few years but I finally got better - there is hope! I'm now healthy and climbing mountain tops!! Hang in there, I understand everything you're going through and it's tough. I wish I could help more, I do have a few resources for Children's GP if you're interested.
Good luck!
my prayers are with gentrie and her family! get well soon! i know the church is true!
Gentrie, I read your story on the Deseret News this AM. What an amazing girl you are! I am certain that god has heard your prayers and the prayers of many on your behalf. Things are going to get better for you real soon. Hang in there.
Dear Gentrie, I just want to add my voice of encouragement with the many others who are praying for you and wishing you well. I read your story in Deseret News. So from West Virginia, I send well wishes from me and my family. I will forward your story.
Hey Gentrie! I'm so sorry for everything you are going through. We hope you have a great turn out this Saturday! Wish I could be there to help out, but please know we are praying for you here in New Orleans while spreading the word to friends in Utah. I'll be checking this site often to see how you are doing. Good luck Gorgeous!

Hi Gentrie...I'm Lizzy Messer's mom from Cheer. She had mentioned several months ago that you had come to watch the girls cheer, and that your stomach was paralyzed. We went home and looked up stomach paresis on the net, I felt better because it sounded like a temporary problem...but yuck....throwing up is not so fun, I'm sure!. So I was happy that you had Mac forward your information, and we could understand better what you are dealing with...we have been worried about you! After reading your story, my heart just aches for you and your family. Our family will include you in our prayers, and we will carry you in our minds and heart. If you need someone to visit you, Lizzy would love to entertain you with her incessent giggling and jabbering. I hope today is a good day for you, know that many people are thinking about you and hoping good things come your way. I couldn't wait to leave you a message....but when Lizzy comes home, I will have her take a look at your site and your story, and I'm sure she will leave you a message. I know that it's a lot more fun hearing from your "hommies," instead of old moms like myself...ha ha ha.
We're thinking of you and continually praying for you. My kids, especially Ella are really good about remembering you in their prayers so just know that even the prayers of little ones are being said for you. You're a fantastic young woman and you have a great family. You're going through a tough time and you are doing a great job of working through it. Stay as positive as you can and keep that great smile visible.
