For this child I prayed; and the Lord hath given me my petition which I asked of him.

We want to welcome you to our site and thank you for sharing in our journey of adoption.  Our decision, as a family, to adopt a little girl has been a very exciting and long process.  This site has been set up to allow all of our family and friends to follow this process along with us from a far.  We want everyone to be able to go with us as we to travel to China to pick up Sydnee.  Through this site we can post pictures and messages during our journey.

A piece of very important information that we want to share with everyone who visits this site is the story behind Sydnee's middle name of Sulyn.  This was a name that Tony and I together made to honor two very important people in our lives.  One is my mother Linda and the other is Tony's mother Donna who we lost in September of 2006 after a long sickness.  Linda's middle name is Sue and Donna's middle name was Lynn.  We put the two together and made Sulyn. Dropping one letter from each of the names we were able to make our own very unique name which allows her to have a part of both of her Grandmothers.  Being able to honor them both through her is something that is very important to us both.
