Meet Baby Elyse!

Daddy and Mommy (especially Mommy) were delighted that Baby Elyse finally arrived 3 days past her due date.  Just like her sister, Elyse is a good girl as she only put mommy through labor for about 11 hours.  She gave mom and dad quite a scare though by having her umbilical cord wrapped around her neck twice, under her arm and then around her body.  Her heartbeat fluctuated dramatically during mommy's contractions, so thankfully mommy was able to push her out in about 20 minutues.  Other than being a bit blue from the cord trauma when she was born, Elyse is a big healthy girl.  We finally brought her home on Friday, August 7.  Mom and dad are again sleep deprived.  However, they are happy to realize that, just like riding a bike, once you've learnt to take care of a new born, you don't forgot how, even years later.  Therefore mom and dad are less stressed out this second time around.  Elyse looks forward to meeting all of you soon.  Until then, please check back at the website once in a while for updates.
