Adoption Proverb: “An invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet; regardless of time, space, or circumstance, the thread may stretch or tangle, but will never break.”
In early 2004, I decided that I was ready to adopt a child and did a lot of research. I tried to be open minded, but I knew my daughter would be from China. I applied with Lifelink International and in September 2004 (just 2 days before I headed to China on vacation) I began my dossier. My LID (Log in Date = date my dossier was logged in with the China Centre for Adoption Affairs) was 12/31/04, just one day after Molly was born. I traveled to China in September 2005 with my mother to meet Molly and bring her home. I am keeping this journal for me and Molly. Please post often as I am sure Molly and I will enjoy reading these posts for years to come.
Not flesh of my flesh, nor bone of my bone,
But miraculously still my own.
Never forget for a single minute,
You didn’t grow under my heart, but in it.
