As I sit here alone in a dark hospital room with Sadie asleep beside me, I can't help but think back to when this all began. For more than 3 years we have been fighting this battle. We are back in the very spot where it all began. Recalling those memories is almost too overwhelming to do, yet you can't help but do it. My heart aches for what Sadie has had to deal with and go through, and it numbs me to think of the pain this has caused Maddie, Kenny and I. You wonder when if it is going to end, yet you hit a point where the "why" us is not an option. You do what you have to do to survive. It is in your darkest hours when you find out who you really are and what you are made of. I couldn't be prouder of the girls we are raising, and for the support that only Kenny can give me. We make a fantastic team if I do say so myself! I thank the good Lord daily for letting me be raised by the absolute best mother in the whole world. Through her daily health struggles and her love of living life to the fullest I learned so much. She made me resilient and in turn I think our girls are much stronger people. Anyone who has lived with or had someone close to you struggle with their health, you know just how much it changes who you are and where your priorities lie. You cherish the everydays. Though this journey has been long, and will continue to be we stand steady. We feel each and every one of you standing behind us holding us up when we can barely do it. The support and prayers are truly what sustain us and we have been so touched and blessed by all that we have seen. I wish so desperately that we could thank each and every one of you personally for every kind act you have done.... so please know it does not go unoticed. We thank you for your support of Sadie Belle and our entire family. If you have a minute listen to the words of this song, it is a powerful message.
