It's official! We got bloodwork results back this afternoon and it shows that Mia is going into remission again with her kidney disease! Thank You Lord!!! This isn't the full remission that she was in the past 6 months prior to her relapse -- at that time she was off her medication. But even with her current medication, her nephrologist is calling this "remission." So we'll take it and praise the Lord!
As for how she is doing, she is still pretty weak, lethargic, swollen/puffy, and pale at times, although you can't see it in this picture. She obviously isn't 100% yet and is still needing to become less immunosuppressed before we can be around many children (church nursery for example), but she is making progress and her numbers have been perfect for a week now. Trusting that the Lord will have her in even better shape by the time we get to that airport on Thursday! Thanks so much for all your prayers -- He hears you and is answering with the reply for which we had all hoped! All glory to Him!
"It is good to give thanks to the Lord and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High; to declare Your lovingkindness in the morning and Your faithfulness by night, with the ten-stringed lute and with the harp, with resounding music upon the lyre. For You, O Lord have made me glad by what You have done, I will sing for joy at the works of Your hands." -Psalm 92:1-4
