The Journey Continues

At the time of our referral we were awaiting one document which would complete the paperwork and allow us to submit our documents to the Chinese Embassy for Authentication. It was the most important document entitled the I-171H. It finally arrived and we were off to authentication at the State Department and Chinese Embassy in Washington D.C. Through the help of a courier we were able to get our documents authenticated within a week and celebrated when we placed the dossier package in the Fed Ex drop box.

Friday, September 8, 2006 while in Birmingham, Alabama for my best friends wedding I received a call from our AWAA coordinator indicating that the dossier looked great (whew!). It would be on its way to China the following Friday. HOORAY!!!!  We also received updated photo's of Yi Tao.  Waiting until I returned home on Sunday to see her pictures was not an option so I quickly made my way to the hotel's business center to access her picture from my email.  I was in awe of how precious she is to behold.
