Journey of the Minot Family

As we have walked this incredible journey I have been overwhelmed with the power of prayer and how when belivers unite in praying for one another God draws near in such a beautiful and intimate way. For those of you who feel led to go before the Lord on behalf of our family, we are grateful to you for your willingness to pray for us. I wanted to list some specific prayer request below and know that we feel the weight of your prayers and love.

1. For Emily - Pray that God will prepare her heart for us. That he will grant her dreams of us right now so that we won't be unfamiliar faces and that she won't be afraid when she is placed in our arms on Monday, Feb. 26. Pray that God will bond us together quickly and that she won't experience sadness or confusion. Also, pray that God will keep her healthy and strong.

2. For Mike and Nichole - Pray that God will allow us to get things accomplished before we depart and will multiply the hours in our days so that we can get it all done. Pray that we remain healthy and as with Emily that He will prepare our hearts to be united with our daughter. Pray that we be granted a knowledge of what she needs and how to best bond with her. Pray for safety in our travel and that jet - lag will be minimal and that we will remain healthy throughout our stay in China.

3. For Cody and Grace - Pray that God will grant them peace and security and give them great joy and excitement at what lies ahead. Pray that he will prepare their hearts for the transitions that await them with Emily's arrival and that they will be secure in our love and passion for them. Pray that their love for her will abound. Pray that they have great fun while we are gone and will not miss us.

4. For my sisters family, my parents, Mike's parents, and my grandmother (Nana) - Pray that God will grant them increased energy and strength as they embark on this 2 weeks of taking care of Cody and Grace. Pray that they have wisdom and creativitiy as they care for them and that smoothness will surround them as they go about the days. Pray also that God will help them have the knowledge in addressing any issues that might arise while we are gone and they will be granted patience in all areas. Finally, that they will be granted a special covering of grace as they pour love into Cody and Grace during this time

5. For Cody and Grace Teachers - Pray that they be granted wisdom as to what may be needed with Cody and Grace during the school hours during this time. Pray that God will strengthen them and give them patience to address any problems that might arise as a result of our being away from home for this time.
