Outstanding scenery and recreational opportunities make the Blue Ridge Parkway one of the most popular units of the National Park System. "America's Favorite Drive" winds its way 469 miles through mountain meadows and past seemingly endless vistas. Split-rail fences, old farmsteads and historic structures complement spectacular views of distant mountains and neighboring valleys.
This is a 57-mile long state park that follows an abandoned railroad right-of-way. The park meanders through Grayson, Carroll, Wythe and Pulaski counties in southwestern Virginia and parallels the scenic and historic New River for 39 miles. This unique park features 57 miles of continuous trail. Great for hiking and biking!
Come hear live old-time and bluegrass music in a gorgeous mountain setting! The outdoor amphitheater concerts and programs will begin on June 2, 2007 and run through September 29, 2007. Concert time will be 7 p.m. There will be an admission fee of $3.00 to most concerts with some additional ticketed events. Children under age 12 will be admitted free. Also check out the First Saturday Square Dances the first Saturdays in June-September with lessons 4:30-5:30p and square dances starting at 6p with live music.

Meadows of Dan is a small community with many unique shops and interesting people to visit.
