Well after 31 hours of travel, door to door, we made it safely home! I will spare you the dirty details of the trip because somehow, now that we are home, they don't seem to matter. Reminds me a little of labor-you forget all the pain the minute they hand you that precious bundle.
We arrived home Sunday at 1:40 am. Our house was covered with signs, goodies, food, balloons, etc. What wonderful friends we have!Thank you everybody for such a warm welcome home. It brought me to tears. We watched Xin run through the house with sheer joy on his face as he discovered his new HOME! That brought me to tears also! God says trust me...... what do we, I, do? We fret worry, stress and then in the end God says see.......I was trying to tell you all will be ok! It made all the stress, trouble, heartache worth it to see him so very happy in his new environment. He is where he belongs now! We had a great day of fun and play and learning some new rules.....we are home now and the iron fist comes down. He did VERY well. He even met the neighborhood kids and played outside with them.Everyone slept well and we are all tired and the jet lag is kicking in but we DON'T care because we are home!!!!! I am sure we still have a long road ahead of us as Xin learns how to live in a family. There will also be doctors appointments, speech therapy, and I am sure more "tantruming" but we will run the race set before us and rely on Him to get us through.
Thank you again for all the thoughts and prayers and for allowing us to share this journey with you. I will no longer post here but you can follow our journey at our blog www.popsiclesandpopcorn.blogspot.com . Farewell friends.....it has been incredible! Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.
