It has been a busy summer and Collin was quite the little traveler. As I've started back to school and Collin has started daycare, we are now starting to get into a good routine and Collin has got it down pat! Collin has been sleeping through the night since he was about ten weeks old, but now he sleeps even longer than Nic and I...from about 9:30 until 7am! Nic gets him ready in the morning and drops him off at daycare around 8am and then I pick him up around 4:00. It's crazy how much both of us miss him throughout the day, but we know he is GREAT hands. The daycare he attends is amazing and all of the women there spoil him rotten!
Our evenings are busy with dinner, playtime, bathtime, a stroll around the neighborhood, or sometimes we'll sneak in a nap! Collin LOVES taking a bath and has starting kicking his feet in the tub. He thinks its hilarious to splash, and doesn't mind a bit when he gets his face wet. He is eating well...about six ounces every 4 hours, but sometimes he will stretch his feedings a bit longer. He is wearing six month clothes in some things, but for the most part is now in 3-6 month stuff. It is crazy just how fast he grows out of things! It seems like one day it fits and the next it doesn't! His personality is really beginning to show...he is always full of smiles and giggles. He rarely cries or is fussy...only when he is hungry, and you better not wait or a meltdown is not far away! We often get comments about how "chill" and relaxed he is...we just hope that he stays that way!
Collin still LOVES his swing and bouncy seat and is starting to really enjoy his bumbo now that he can hold his head up well. He still isn't a fan of "tummytime" but is getting better each day. He also likes his playmat, but gets upset when he grabs a toy and can't get it in his mouth! EVERYTHING goes in his mouth and he is becoming quite the drooler! He likes to sit up and see what's going on, but also doesn't mind laying flat and just kicking his feet. Oh! And he loves to be naked! If the child could just live in a diaper he would be perfectly content!
We are enjoying every moment of our lil' mister and often wish we could hit the "pause button" for just a minute to soak it all in a bit longer. There is one thing for certain that people say that has some truth..."They sure do grow up tooo fast!"
