Happy Mother's Day!!!!! · May 11, 2008
I just wanted to wish you all a very Happy Mother's Day!!!  We all have so much to be grateful for on this day. I know that the road is sometimes tough- and we are being tested every day- in many different ways- but that all comes with the territory- motherhood is not easy- but truly one of the most rewarding jobs ever!!

I am grateful today for the little things;
For Hope wrapping her little arms around my neck and saying I love you in English!!
For the blessed 5 minute increments that all 5 of my kids play without fighting!!
For the handmade gifts that I was presented this morning (along with an awesome coffee maker from my hubby-a major necessity right now!!)
For my husband who did not say no when I wanted to bring a fifth child into our family, and who has shown so much love for our new daughter that I have fallen in love with him all over again.
For my dad (God rest his soul) who was both a mom and a dad to me after I lost my mom- he was the most amazing "mother" that I could have hoped for. His sensitivity, and love for ALL children is what has inspired me to open my heart to motherhood.
For my sisters- who are my best friends, and who have shown me how to be a mom, and how to love children with every ounce of my being.
For my friends- the one's that listen to my gripes, laugh with me, cry with me, and who I turn to for advice on everything from strange looking poop to window treatments
For those who have supported our journey to Hope this year--who have written, called, and prayed for our family, "thank you" does not seem to be enough for how much you all mean to me.

Finally- I am so very grateful for the opportunity that the Lord has given me to be a mother. After losing my own Mom so young- I doubted what my future would hold, and did not have much faith. Little did I know what gifts lie ahead for me in my life. My children: Hannah, Joseph, Caroline,Charlie, and Hope are the most incredible blessings- and they make my heart warm every day- and I will never take them for granted---they are the best thing that has ever happened to me.

I wish happiness to all of the Mom's out there--may you cherish your children today and every day!!

Following are some pics from our recent adventures- including a visit from my sisters Cindy and Mariellen.....Enjoy!!
