Update (4/18) A new place to hang our hat · April 18, 2007
Well, tomorrow morning at 7:00 Brea will go in to have her first heart biopsy in the cath lab to see if she is rejecting her new heart. We should get the results between 3:00-7:00 pm central time. PLEASE pray that there will be no signs of rejection and that the procedure will go as planned.

Today we left the RMH and moved into our temporary home. It is an apartment located just a few minutes from the hospital. Brea is able to sit at the table and eat without fear of catching something and I don't have to share a bathroom with 30 other women! The RMH is a wonderful place and serves a great need but for a transplant patient it is a little scary because there are so many people there.

Brea's Grandma and Grandpa came to visit her today. They got to hold her for the first time without her crying! Of course Grandma had some pretty earrings that she wanted to touch and Grandpa offered to take her out on the balcony to see if they could find a bird. Hopefully this is a step in the right direction because up until today she hasn't been very fond of anyone holding her except mommy and daddy.

Goodnight from our new spacious pad (compared to the RMH).
