All About Max

 

We still can’t believe this precious little guy is ours! We are so anxious to meet Max and hold him in our arms. It is so nice to have information from the orphanage.  Here is some of what we do know.

 On November 30, 2005, Datong City Public Security Bureau received a report, saying that a baby boy was found at the gate of the social welfare institute in Datong City.  Dang You Song was admitted to the institute on November 30, 2005. There was date of birth paper left with him which stated he was born on October 27, 2005.

 The information given says that Dang You Song is a very lovely boy and is smart and cute. He has deep feelings for caretakers and likes to be held (YEA!!!).   He is fond of listening to music and playing with toys. He is a deep sleeper.  He has a good appetite and shows excitement at food (just like his mama). He is active, has a ready smile and laughs out loud.  

 

We have chosen the name Max Cole Yousong.  We love the names we have chosen, but we especially love the meanings.

NAME MEANING: Max - Greatest in Excellence  

SPIRITUAL MEANING: Teachable Spirit

SCRIPTURE: Isaiah 64:8 - Yet, O Lord, you are our Father, we are the clay, and you are our potter, we are all the work of your hand.

 

NAME MEANING: Cole - Victory of the People

SPIRITUAL MEANING: Granted Success

Cole - is my maiden name.  It means a lot to me for Max to have my name. It is Hayden's middle name as well; I thought that Max would feel special to have the same name as his BIG brother.

 Dang You Song

 The orphanage gave our son this name when he entered. We wanted to keep part of his Chinese name. We feel it will be important and special to him.  We plan to preserve and celebrate his heritage and the customs of his birth land.

Dang You Song is pronounced - Dong Yo Song

Dang - surname: In China, the surname goes in the front.  All the children in the orphanage have Dang as their surname.

You - to have or possess

Song - praise   

NAME MEANING - Yousong - to have or possess praise.     

Let all that I am praise the Lord;
      with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name.
