I can't stay caught up with blogging, so I'm going to combine two days.  Since Sutton is under two and our paperwork was logged in before Chinese adoption came under the Hague Convention, we had two more free days.  We did pretty much the same thing on both days.

It takes us forever to get going in the morning.  None of us wants to get ready.  When we're finally ready, we go downstairs for breakfast.  We follow breakfast with a walk through the park and part of the island.

The park is really fascinating.  It is always filled with people participating in group activities.  There is singing, people playing the Chinese game mahjong, swimming, dancing, and dancing with lots of different props.  I love the sounds and all of the activity.

After our walk we go back to the hotel to go swimming.  The pool is beautiful.  It is beautifully landscaped and it overlooks the Pearl River.  Unfortunately I don't have any pictures since cameras are not allowed at the pool.  While Layne and Bobby swim, Sutton has a bottle and naps.  It's pretty relaxing.

After swimming, we have a snack and it's nap time for Layne.  Sutton is loud, so he and I have to leave the room.  We go to the Swan Room, watch the birds in the lobby, and/or walk in the park.

In the late afternoon/evening, we find something to eat and go walking again.  We end the night playing in the Swan Room with other adoptive families.

These past two days have been very relaxing.  We could have done touring, but Bobby and I thought it would be more enjoyable to relax.  It's been almost like a vacation.

There are statues all over the island. I haven't taken a picture of my favorite one this time. It is a fat American woman and her husband with their Asian baby. I really don't know what to think of it.
Today all of our paperwork was taken to the U. S. Consulate.  Tomorrow afternoon we will go to the consulate to take the oath!  We're celebrating with a cruise on the Pearl River.
