We didn't have any paperwork to do today. We are just waiting on Sutton's Chinese passport. So we decided to do a little sightseeing in Fuzhou.
Today was a Buddhist holiday, and we visited the most famous Buddhist temple in Fuzhou in the morning. We came back to the hotel for a nap. Everyone napped but me. It seems that Sutton is a fast learner. Everytime I laid him down, he cried. After nap we took Layne to McDonald's because we are having a hard time finding food she will eat. Then we ventured out on our own to a local store that is like a small, Chinese version of Wal-Mart. They sell a little of everything. The only problem was that it was further than we anticipated and we ended up walking two miles each way in the afternoon in the southern China heat. Poor Bobby carried Layne on his shoulders most of the way there and back. I only carried Sutton a short way. Most of the way he rode in his stroller. This evening, we all went to the pool. Sutton liked splashing his feet in the water, and he thinks Layne is hilarious when she jumps in the pool. Unfortunately, I forgot to take my camera. Tonight Sutton took his first real bath in the bathroom sink. We did get pictures of that.

The banyan tree and the lychee tree were both on the grounds of the Buddhist temple. Even though there were lots of people, it was very peaceful. You could smell incense burning and hear the monks chanting.
Tomorrow we are going sightseeing in the morning also, but we're not sure where yet.
