Today wasn't a very busy day.  We went to a wholeasale market this morning that sells local crafts, jade, and pearls.  Fuzhou is known for laquerware, so I bought a piece for Sutton to have when he gets older.  After the market, we went back to the hotel to wait for our adoption documents to be brought to us from the notary and then the whole family napped.

Sutton is quickly making his way into the bed.  He will still sleep in his crib at night,  but at nap time if he's laid down, he won't stop crying.  Actually, most of the time he wants to be held.  Our guide said she can't believe that he's already so spoiled.

After nap, we all went to the pool.  Swimming is Layne's favorite part of the trip.  Sutton likes to splash in the water for a few minutes, but he just mainly wants to be held while he watches Layne or sleeps.

The most difficult part of staying in Fuzhou is that there are no restuarants, other than the hotel resaturant, within walking distance.  So, tonight we just ate Cup-a-Noddles in our room.  That left us time to visit West Lake Park that is across from the hotel.  It is one of the most beautiful parks I've ever seen.  It was also packed.  The Chinese all live in apartments, so parks are very important.  People were playing instruments, dancing, skating, line dancing, and the list could go on and on.  There is also a small amusement park inside the park.  Layne rode the carousel, but it went so fast that I couldn't get a picture.  It was much faster than a carousel at home.

When we got back to the hotel, we put Sutton in the tub for his first big bath.  He really liked the splashing, but he can't sit up for very long at a time.  We really enjoy the evenings with Sutton.  It's his most active and happiest time of day.

A little, old lady was selling these bags of flower blossoms. The Chinese hang them in their closet to make their clothes smell good.

Tomorrow I probably won't write.  We are checking out of the hotel at 2:30.  At 3:00, we will pick-up Sutton's passport and then head to the airport.  We leave Fuzhou at 7:15 and arrive in Guangzhou at 8:30.  So, it will be pretty late when we check in at our hotel.

I know everybody will be shocked to hear this, but Layne calls Sutton by his name.  I think she has only called him Leroy once or twice.  She also informed us that she knows this time we are getting Sutton, but soon we will be getting her big sister.  When I questioned her about it, she just said that soon we are coming back for her big, Chinese sister.  Does she know something we don't know?
