Mary, Call Tina!! The media has contacted her and needs to talk to you. We are both working on a lot of things and hopefully some of these things will come through for you. I love you very much. I will send you a private message in a minute, but wanted to make sure you got this message right away. I love you! Tammy

Mary, here is the KLOVE Encouraging Word for 4-10-07: "By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence."--2 Peter 1:3 NLT. I know what you mean about feeling like the ones who work hard to provide for their family (and make just enough to pay the bills) are penalized. Been there, still there, and it is very frustrating! Could the raise in your insurance premiums bring your monthly expense level up enough to help with Medicaid? Did you consider stating that Baker has a chronic condition (by that I mean potential lifelong effects) from the Kawasaki disease? Sometimes, when you have more than one "special needs" child, the gov. will drop the income level for Medicaid requirements. Also, the Partners for Prescription Assistance (you know, the one with Montel Williams on the commercial) might be a possibility. And, I cannot imagine that Oprah could ignore your plight. I have emailed her several times, but maybe if she heard it from you...? I know it seems that when it rains, it pours, but hang in there. God will work it out. And read some Psalms, crying out and sobbing to God are all OK, and He is faithful and just. Stand firm in your faith! Satan has already been defeated! If you need to talk, call me anytime: 664-0986. Cathy
Truly Blessed 2007-04-10 09:05:09.0
Mary, I've been following your family's story since the beginning of Brea's hospitalization and finally am coming out of the world of lurkers to say that you are truly an inspiration to so many people. Your faith is incredible, and your passion to share God's love and infinite power with the world is inspiring. God has truly blessed you as well, and I would like to add that your three children are incredibly lucky to have you as their mother and will surely, one day, "rise up and call you blessed." God bless you all -- keep your faith. God is certainly bigger than insurance issues and knows your every need. Big hugs from Michigan.

Hi Mary, I countinue to follow your journal about Brea and I thank God everyday for Brea's success with the new heart. My heart aches for you each day that I read about financial issues. I have found a few places that may be able to help. I am sure you have checked them already but maybe you haven't and maybe this will be the help you need. The Children's Cardiomyopathy Foundation. www.childrenscardiomyopathy.org/site/contact.php This organization's goal is to provide emotional and financial support to families whose children suffer from chronic or life-threatening illnesses. www.makeachildsmile.org/ Your faith continues to amaze me and inspire me. I wish you knew how much my faith has grown since you started posting about Brea's condition. It is the first site I go to each day. I continue to pray for you and your family. Please know you are in so many people's thoughts and prayers.

These seems to help me in my "down" times: "In order to see the Rainbow, you must first endure some Rain" and "If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it" --simple but powerful--stay strong and know that so many prayers are being sent your way!
Holly McDaneld 2007-04-10 08:14:34.0
Oh Mary, I can only imagine your exhaustion and frustration! I am asking the Lord to provide for you as only HE can do. I trust that He will be glorified in all of this and that satan will be CRUSHED. I pray that his pathetic attempts to kill, steal and destroy will be thwarted and that he will slink away in defeat as the VICTORY of Jesus Christ reigns supreme in your family! I am asking the Lord to strengthen your marriage, your children and your faith as you endure this fiery trial. I am sure you have read 1 Peter before. He talks all about trials and perseverence. While we cannot all physically be there to help you through this, thousands of us across the world are standing with you in spirit, standing in the gap for your family, pressing in, lifting you all up and bearing your burden with you. Keep right on praising God Mary- the devil hates that and God is so worthy! I pray that we will all be blown away at the mighty ways in which the Lord provides for your financial needs. He is faithful! Many blessings, Holly McDaneld ( Wife to Tony of almost 14 yrs.,homeschool Mom to a handsome 12 yr. old son, a lovely 9 year old daughter and an expectant Mommy to a 17 month old boy with special needs in China!)
Les and Suzie Pollard, the red haired Autumn's parents 2007-04-10 08:13:30.0
Mary, Hang in there, God is watching and waiting, He has plans we are unaware. Autumn is doing fine, we are still astounded that she only spent 6 days in the hospital for open heart surgery! Your family is on our church's prayer list. Les says the cajun redneck China doll and family will make it through all the hardships. Praying for you
