I have been following Brea's story for well over a year. I think I have left comments in the past but I feel compelled to leave one after reading your last post. I pray everyday for your family and will now pray that this was just an interpretation error. You are right God is much bigger than all of this.

Mary, I will be keeping Brea, you and your family in my prayers. The team in Little Rock will probably be able to give you a better explanation and answer. I know this must be very hard for you. Waiting is extremely hard especially when it concerns your child. Please have a safe trip to Little Rock and I will also be praying that they can help put some of your worries at ease..

Oh, Mary...I know you must be in shock!! I believe I could feel your anguish yesterday (Wed) afternoon as I was driving to pick up my son. I was belting out "These are the Days of Elijah" and suddenly my mind just zeroed in on you. I prayed a prayer for you and Brea and prayed that the results were good. Don't be discouraged, and "do not be afraid". It really could all be a result of a different lab and different person that reads it. Maybe she can have another biopsy at ACH? At the very least maybe they could read the slides from Duke. We are all praying, and remember, "There's no God like Jehovah!" "Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble, and keep on praying."---Romans 12:12

Mary, Trying to be pessimestically optomistic is what you will have to be for the next several months. Sure hope the doctors in Little Rock can put your fears to rest as waiting another nine months is way too long. Please know that we all will keep your family in our thoughts and hearts.

I'm sorry to hear about Brea's biopsy grade. I REALLY hope and pray that it was just a matter of interpretation by the pathologist. I can't imagine how scared and frustrated it made you feel, though. Please know that Brea and your family continue to be in my prayers. I hope you can get some "peace of mind" answers sooner than waiting 9 more months. Wendy

Hi Mary - I am so sorry - this is not the post I was hoping to see! How does the A change the grading of 1? Would it be possible to get the pathology slides sent down to Little Rock to have them evaluated there, perhaps by the pathologist who previously read her biopsies? You are right - it was only a person who read the biopsy samples and there could very wel be lots of "wiggle room" in interpretation. Stay strong and demand what you need from your healthcare providers. Keeping you all (and Brea's donor's mother) in my prayers, Kim

We are worried and we are praying. May God continue to reveal Himself and His great plan to you and your family. Many blessings!
