I feel so much for you in your search to find the right church for your family. Here is one I can recommend. Before you attend, you are most welcome to call and ask for representatives to come meet your family. They will be able to connect you right away to other members so that you can have ready-made friends before you even attend. I hope you find this helpful: 1524 Jenkins Road WAKE FOREST , NC 27588 Falls Lake Ward 919-562-8750 (Office) Wake Forest Ward 919-554-8801 (Office)

You all have been through such an ordeal already with Brea's surgery, and initial recovery, but to have to go through what you described in your last post as "stares, stares, and stares" pierce through me. Being a nurse, I applaud you for all the precautions. If other people don't understand your taking such ( in their eyes drastic) mesasures, then they don't deserve to have you and your family as friends. God luck with finding a new church home. Having that inner peace and serenity through church, as I learned through all of your posts, this is what has always been so important to you.

Mary, I am so sorry for what you went through at the church you visited. If you want to drive a little, I know there are still some great churches in Clayton that would have welcomed and questioned, but not stared as they did. My cousin attends a church in Wake Forrest. I don't think it is as big as the one you went to. She has adopted two children from other contries over the past 6 years. There are lots of families in River Hills who would love to see you guys. Give us a call if you come this way.

Hang in there. God has a church for you and He will lead you to it. I have been praying for you and Brea since I learned about the heart transplant. She will be a blessing to people in ways you don't even know. I am praying for you to find a church that will open it's arms wide for your family and will accept the fact that your beautiful little girl needs to be protected from germs and viruses for now. God bless you

I've been lurking on your site for months and praying for you all and just want to encourage you to continue to parent and protect Brea. You are doing what the doctors said and that is sooo important. Whenever something is "different" we notice it, what we fail to see is how special it is as well.

My heart breaks for you all!! So sad that others just don't understand what you have been through. Continue to fight the good fight. God did not bring you this far for no reason. He STILL has a plan for you all and it is for good and not for evil.

I have been following your story for quite a while and the love, faith and strength of you and your family is inspirational. I am the Mom of two bio sons and one daughter adopted from China. My second son has special needs, so I understand how uncomfortable it is for strangers to stare. i have one suggestion when you search for the right church for your wonderful family; why not go before service and speak privately to the Minister. Explain your situation and then ask him to discuss it with the congregation before you attend service. People are curious at "new" things and at "new people". Maybe if they understood, they would be more welcoming, and less curious. Just a thought. And I'm sorry that some folks in your life think they know more than your doctors what is best for Brea. You know, as a Mom, what is your best course and you don't need to defend your decisions to ANYONE. Just say, "Because I said so, and I'm her MOTHER!" ;^0 God Bless. Marilyn
