My heart is heavy this morning after hearing the news that Steven Curtis Chapman has lost his youngest daughter to a tragic accident. Steven Curtis Chapman is my favorite Christian singer and he has been a long time advocate for Chinese adoption. His testimony has led many of us to open our hearts to international adoption and ultimately to being blessed with a daughter from China. He and his wife have 6 children. The youngest three were adopted from China. I think this really hit home for two reasons...the first being the fact that the daughter that died was adopted from China and not much older than Brea. The second reason is the fact that she died in the same manner as Brea's donor....simply tragic. My heart is breaking for them this morning...especially their teenage son who will live with a life time of guilt. Please join me in lifting this family up in prayer.
