Brea's biopsy · November 26, 2008

Brea had her biopsy on Monday morning at Duke.  I was able to carry her to the cath lab and hold her hand and sing to her as they put her to sleep to do the procedure.  An hour and a half later she was in the recovery room.  It didn't take long for her to wake up and start entertaining the nurses.  She pulled and tugged on every wire that was hooked up to her which set off all kinds of alarms and got the nurses hopping!  As we were leaving the recovery room she wished everyone a "Happy Turkey Day".

The wait for the results was pure torture but we finally got the call on Tuesday evening and the news was exactly what we had been praying for!  NO REJECTION was detected in her biopsy.  It was a grade zero!  She will not need another biopsy for one year!  We have so much to be thankful for this year.  I hope you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
