It is 8:54 am and we just got an update from the OR. Brea's old heart is out and the new heart has arrived! The OR nurse said that he has seen it and it is "pretty". They have started putting it in and we will get another update around 10:00 am.
Things are taking a little longer than expected because the flight back with the heart ran into some bad weather but we are still in a great time frame and it should not have comprimised the quality of the heart.
There is something very surreal about hearing a helicopter landing and knowing that your child's new heart has arrived!
Keep praying...GOD HEARS OUR PRAYERS AND ANSWERS THEM!
