Update - February 21, 2007
Today has been a good day for our peanut! Her ventilator settings were turned down a tiny bit today and she is tolerating it!!! Praise God for little baby steps!!!!! They continue to have a difficult time sedating her because she fights it so hard so please pray specifically for rest for her. It is what her heart needs yet she can't rest because they can't keep her sedated. Her vitals have been good today and she has had no fever today. She received a second IVIG and tolerated it well so please pray that it will jump start her immune system and she will start to fight this infection in her heart. A heart transplant is still a very realistic possibility for our princess if she doesn't show signs of improvement in the next week. The doctors know the science of how the heart and body work but I know the miracles that my God can do and my faith is in Him! As hard as it is to imagine, God loves Brea more than we do and I believe with all my heart that He has great things planned for her and she will be healed.

I want to thank you all for your continued prayers for our precious Brea. We are so overwhelmed by the outpouring of love, support and prayers for her and our family. We have received emails from Honduras, Australia, The Netherlands and all over the USA! We have had a few visits from other China adoptive parents who live in the area or work here at the hospital and I can't begin to tell you how nice it is to know that we are not alone here in Little Rock. The nurses and doctors here in the cardiavascular intensive care unit are amazed at the number of emails we've received in the hospital patient email box and the number of calls they have gotten from folks sending messages that they are praying for our family and Brea. I pray that our faith will serve as a witness to others. They are many families here in the waiting area with us everyday from all walks of life and with all that we are going through I feel a strong need to share God's love with them and pray for their children. Please join me in praying for these families and their children. Every life is precious and they are hurting just as we are.

Until tomorrow...goodnight from Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock.
