Happy Easter! · March 25, 2008

This Easter was VERY special to all of us.  Last year at Easter Brea was in the hospital and there was no Easter service, no special Easter dresses, no Easter egg hunt and no visit with the bunny but Brea was alive and we were together and that was enough.  This year was very different.  The day began with the kids finding their baskets and discovering what the bunny left behind, then there was breakfast and a mad dash to get the kiddos ready for church.  Brea was thrilled with her new dress and must have said "thank you" at least a dozen times before we ever got out the door.  It was so sweet.  After church we had lunch and then went to an Easter egg hunt on our street.  Brea had no idea what was going on but she soon got the hang of it and joined in the fun.  With each egg she picked up she let out a big "WOW" and put it in her bag.  She wasn't at all interested in the treats inside the eggs but she loved the brightly colored plastic eggs and she opened and closed them over and over again for the rest of the day.

I forgot to mention that we went to see the Easter Bunny on Saturday while we were in Charlotte visiting my sister.  Brea took him a baggie of carrotts...some of which she nibbled on in the car on the way to the mall.  I really didn't think she would have her picture taken with him but she did!  She wasn't afraid of him and even remembered to give him his carrotts!

Spring is here...Christ is ALIVE...we are together and Brea's little heart is beating strong and steady...what more could I ask for?

Enjoy the photos!
