Just when I thought we would be waiting another month...we got TA! It arrived at our agency yesterday (8/3/09)! The agency has requested a consulate appointment for us on 9/1/09 with 9/2 and 9/3 as our 2nd and 3rd choices. They should receive confirmation of our appointment in the morning. Gotcha Day is scheduled for Monday, August 24th! We have waited 13 months to meet our daughter and now we are just a hop, skip and jump away from her! It is hard to beleive.
We would really appreciate your prayers over the next few weeks. We have so much going on with the move and the adoption and everything has to go just as planned in order for all the pieces to fall into place without a hitch! We'd also appreciate your prayers for Bailey and her foster family. We hope that God is preparing their hearts for our arrival. I can't imagine how hard it is going to be for her foster mother to give her up. She has had her since she was 7 months old. As for Bailey...we are expecting a rough transition. Unlike Brea, Bailey has been living in a home environment with a foster family. She has probably never seen or been around people that look or smell like us and she is going to be very afraid. We are prepared for her to reject us int he beginning which is totally natural for a child in this stuation. Our hope is that through lots of patience, love and a few bribes we will win her over in no time flat and she will grow to love us as much as we already love her.
