Praise God from whom all blessings flow!!! · September 14, 2009

We just got home from the pediatric cardiologist.  Bailey's heart has been healed and no surgical intervention is needed!!!  As you may recall, she had a rather large ASD (hole/murmur) AND PVS (a valve that had not opened completely).  It was the opinion of all who had reviewed her charts that she would need some type intervention, possibly a repair in the cath lab or open heart surgery BUT that is not going to be needed.  We have prayed since the day we accepted Bailey's referral that her heart would be healed and that is exactly what has happened!!!  She will not need to be seen again by the cardiologist for two years!

Sweet Brea sat on the exam table next to Bailey this morning and told her over and over that it was going to be alright.  She told her that nothing was going to hurt and that we all love her very much.  As the nurses took Bailey's blood pressure Bailey began to cry and Brea looked at me and said "Mom, we need to sing" so sing we did!

It was wonderful to see Dr. Brummond again.  He is the cardiologist who diagnosed Brea with dilated cardiomyopathy back in February 2007 and he was also our local cardiologist after her transplant.  He couldn't believe how much she has grown and how well she is doing with her new heart.  We also got to see our favorite echo tech  and our favorite nurse who just so happens to be Chinese.  She spoke to Bailey in Chinese during the echo and it really seeed to help ease her fears.

After our appointment we celebrated the wonderful news with lunch at our favorite local Chinese restaurant.  Now it is nap time for the Wusterbarth girls and time for me to catch up on laundry.  THANK YOU, THANK YOU to all who have been praying for this wonderful day!
