Our pediatric cardiologist just did a new echocardiogram and Bres is showing a little regained function in the left side of her heart. The heart is not as large as it was yesterday. He was surprised to see this and was pleased that her condition has not worsened. This means that she is starting to respond to the drugs that were started yesterday. Three additional heart medications will be added today and the next few days will tell us if she is going to respond to those medications. This is going to be a long road to recovery and this is the first step in the right direction. At best, we anticipate her being in ICU for a minimum of 7 days.
She is still in very critical condition and your continuous prayers are still very much needed and wanted. |
